Let's Fly Away

Here is a little something that I have had stashed in the notes on my phone for a few months now. A short few thoughts that came together during the last few times I was sitting and day dreaming at the airport: New York 2016, Florida Keys 2016, Bali 2017.

I have come to find a love for airports. Okay, they are filled with long lines and over priced bottled water-so maybe it's better for me to say that I have fallen in love with that which stems from airports; the idea that they offer endless possibilities, destinations, people, and adventures. The idea that while our world seems so big it's really so connected, so accessible. Each person with their own journey ahead; whether it be running away from something or running to something. Long hours and tired eyes, knowing the destination ahead will make the journey worth while. The people and the memories to be made will make the journey worth while one hundred times over. Anxiety and eagerness before venturing off somewhere new and the bittersweet feelings of returning home at the end of a trip-both felt the strongest while in the airport waiting to board a plane. I've learned to live for these feelings, they are some of my favorite to feel. So yeah, I guess I have this love for airports.
