5 Amazing Beaches Around the World

The beach is basically my favorite place ever. Most of my trips or vacations are based around the beach be it for surfing, the oceans creatures, or just lounging with my people. I have been to my fair share of beaches, but a few of them stick with me:

North Beach — Racine, WI

It would be wrong of me to not put North Beach at the top of this list. Located on Lake Michigan, this beach is my home beach and is where I’ve made so many memories. My first job, the home of the family business, summers spent with all of my people. This beach is just a little slice of home. But don’t just take my word for it, North Beach has been recognized as one of the best beaches in the country! Throughout the summer you can stop down and see some lovely palm trees, chill in a hammock, listen to some live tunes and stick your toes in the sand! Oh and make sure to visit me at the concessions for a snack and to say hi!

Jacksonville Beach — Jacksonville, FL

The one year I went to college was in Jacksonville, Fl. That year wasn’t the best year I had ever had, but I sought out solace in Jacksonville Beach. I spent many weekends here soaking in the sun. My family as a whole has found a special place in our hearts for Jacksonville, we love it for a little surf trip or spring break trip. The area as a whole is great- beachside hotels, surf shops, restaurants and beach bars.

Kelingking — Nusa Penida, Indonesia

If you are planning a trip to Bali, make sure to allot some time to visit the island of Nusa Penida. If you are looking for a challenging hike with a STUNNING view, you have to visit Kelingking. The majority of people just go for the iconic instagram photo overlooking the t-rex looking cliffside, so if you decide to make the hike down to the beach it isn’t too busy. Don’t expect a private beach, but I’d day that is is defiantly less populated that Crystal Bay, another must see on Nusa Penida (If you are a diver, I recommend a dive trip at Crystal Bay. The reef is beautiful!)

I have to warn, be careful entering the ocean at Kelingking. The shore break and undertow are pretty serious and I saw a good handful of people have to get pulled out!

Nosy Iranja — Madagascar

Odds are you've seen a photo of this picture perfect beach somewhere on the internet. A white sand, sand bar with perfect blue waters on either side. Nosy Iranja is an island located off the North West coast of Madagascar and is totally worth the boat trip! Looking to see some Sea Turtles? Bring you mask and snorkel, because there are plenty of turtles to be seen.

Juno Beach — Juno Beach, FL

Yet another beach with sentimental meaning. I spent many a family vacations on this beach growing up. A fairly standard stretch of beach, but my favorite part is Loggerhead Marine Life Center. The center, located steps from the beach, takes in injured or sick sea turtles, rehabilitates them and then releases the turtles back to the ocean. If you are headed to Juno beach make sure to stop into Loggerhead Marine Life Center, to check out their current turtle patients!
