4 Reasons Why I Love Morning Workouts

I've recently been working to establish a new schedule and routine for the new season of life I am moving into- yay for new jobs, new ideas and new adventures. One thing that is always a must in my routine is workouts. My workouts fit in my schedule the best, and are more likely to actually be done, when I get them in bright and early (like classes at 6:30am early.) I surprisingly have learned to really enjoy these early morning sweat sessions and here's 4 reasons why:

1. They get me up and moving right away.

If I know I have a class scheduled that I have already paid for I am waaaay more likely to actually get myself out of bed and go. Early morning classes means early morning wake up call which means no procrastinating the start of my day.

2. Early morning workouts help me to start my day free of my phone and social media.

When I have my alarm set for 5:15am, I'm not giving myself any extra time. I give myself just enough time to get up, throw on a sports bra, grab my pre workout and my water bottle and head out the door. It's nice to get through the first couple hours of my morning free of scrolling (now I just need to work on implementing this on the mornings that I'm not out the door bright and early.)

3. A.M. workouts help set the rest of my day up for healthy choices.

When I work out right away in the morning I am always prone to drinking more water throughout the day and am always a little more conscious of what I am fueling my body with throughout the day. I started my day with a healthy choice and that motivates me to keep the healthy choices coming.

4. Sunrise.

Listen I’ve always been a sucker for a good sunset. I’ve loved a good sunrise too, but I watched those a lot less. Over the last few months I’ve seen a lot more sunrises, mostly thanks to some nice and early workouts. Let’s be honest, it’s hard not to feel like you are starting your day on an amazing, and dare I say magical, note when you are driving to class watching the sky fill with some of the most vibrant shades of pink and orange.
