Well, I'm back in the States after a whirlwind 6 weeks in Madagascar. What did I do there? I went on a couple dives, spent some time on the mainland helping build a health clinic, got pretty sick, got an ear infection, visited the doctor, then did every on-land marine conservation activity I could while I was beached thanks to said ear infection. Oh, and I journaled... a lot, which is a habit I am aiming to keep with now that I am home. In time, all my stories from Madagascar will make there way here to the blog, once I filter through and compose all my thoughts and many journal pages into complete thoughts.
This photo is the only proof I have that I did even a little bit of diving in Madagascar.
View from the hut that I called home for 6 weeks.
We took a weekend trip to visit Nosy Iranja. The sand bar connecting Nosy Iranja to it's neighbor is incredible!
A trip to Madagascar is not complete until you hop in the water with the whale sharks!
When the clinic was finished we joined in with the locals to celebrate.
After getting sick I spent a lot of time staring at this view. This is the view from our dive deck where we also had turtle watch.
So I'm back in the States, now what? Well, I arrived home for 4 days, got sick again, unpacked, repacked, then headed down to the Florida Keys to meet up with my parents. Now it's time to enjoy some beach time with my people before going back to real life!
